28 lis 2017 · Typically yes you CAN earn achievements offline for most Steam games. One major downside is that upon your next connection to Steam Online, all of those achievements earned offline will "unlock" at the same moment, resulting in identical timestamps for the cluster of offline play.
Some has server-linked achievements and won't be counted during offline mode. Other games will pop up achievements but won't be updated upon connection. Finally, some others will store achievements locally and they will be updated as soon as you get back online.

I am playing through Ori and the Blind Forest (great game, btw) and I played roughly the first 5 hours on a road trip offline. I got back to a connection and updated the steam cloud save and I got no achievements.
2 lut 2024 · Just went off the plane and got 3 achievements when playing offline. They indeed show the same date on my steam profile but on the Deck it still shows the correct unlocking time.
Most of the time, yes. Providing you have launched the game at least once (so the Steam Client has the achievement schema on your machine) you SHOULD be able to earn Steam Achievements while in offline mode. I say "SHOULD", because there are bound to be cases where it doesn't quite work.
It depends on the game. Some will check for achievements being unlocked every time you launch it when connected to the internet. Others will only unlock it when you get it and won't unlock again if you were offline at the time.
