State Route 16 (SR 16) is an east–west highway running from Columbus to Coshocton. Its western terminus is at Civic Center Drive (formerly U.S. Route 33) in Downtown Columbus, and its eastern terminus is at US 36.
This project will replace the pavement on SR 16 from the Muskingum County line to Spitler Drive intersection. Estimated project completion is Fall 2024. When the project begins, reconstruction will begin on the two lane section of SR 16 between the southside of SR 83 and Adams Mills.

9 mar 2023 · The Ohio Department of Transportation announced last year a $20.9 million full-depth replacement of Ohio 16 from Spitler Drive to the Muskingum County line. The road will be closed eastbound as work restarts the week of March 13 from Township Road 347 to Township Road 288.
