Navy continues flood relief operation in Western Province. Due to the heavy rainfall caused by adverse weather conditions affecting the island, several areas in the Western Province are experiencing flooding.
The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) embarked on a Search and Rescue (SAR) operation to assist the ongoing operations at the overturned Chinese fishing vessel LU PENG YUAN YU 028, which was reported on 16th May 2023 in Australian Search and Rescue Region, south of Sri Lanka.
2 lis 2022 · The ship, designated as P 627, arrived at the Port of Colombo on 02nd November 2022 after a long sea voyage from the U.S. Coast Guard Base Seattle. She is the third ship donated by the U.S. to SLN and will enhance its maritime security and conservation capabilities.
