The Sigma Phi Society (ΣΦ) is the second Greek fraternal organization founded in the United States and the first to establish a chapter at another college, making it the first national Greek organization.
Sigma Phi is proud of being the oldest social fraternity in continuous existence since its founding in 1827. The enduring nature of Sigma Phi is one of its greatest traits, and, as we near our 200-year anniversary, we are as strong as we have ever been.

Sigma Sigma Phi (ΣΣΦ or SSP), is the national osteopathic medicine honors fraternity for medical students training to be Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.). The National Osteopathic Medicine Honors Fraternity is a group united in the interest of preserving the highest class of medical scholastic excellence and includes community service.
Sigma Phi, Union’s second fraternity was founded on March 4, 1827 when four undergraduates recognized their need for a companionship more intimate than the one comprising the college’s student body.
