20 maj 2010 · If Show Desktop icons is missing you need to change a registry key, so create a System Restore point first. Now open a Run window (Windows key+R), type regedit, press Enter and in the left pane navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

31 mar 2010 · You can make a new toolbar holding only one icon (or more shortcuts and stuff) for the "show desktop" jobby: Make a new folder somewhere and copy into it the "Show Desktop" from C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch.
