24 wrz 2017 · I've got an ndarray in python with a dtype of float64. I'd like to convert the array to be an array of integers. How should I do this? int() won't work, as it says it can't convert it to a scalar. Changing the dtype field itself obviously doesn't work, as the actual bytes haven't changed.

26 wrz 2023 · Using np.int_ () Naive Approach. By explicitly type casting we can convert each element of the original Numpy array to its closest integer value. This technique converts a float value to an integer using the int () or round () methods.
To convert the type of an array, use the .astype () method. For example: >>> z.astype(np.float64)array ( [0., 1., 2.]) Note that, above, we could have used the Python float object as a dtype instead of numpy.float64. NumPy knows that int refers to numpy.int_, bool means numpy.bool, that float is numpy.float64 and complex is numpy.complex128.
