Year-round, the Reserve opens at 8:00 a.m. Point Lobos currently closes at 7:00 p.m. with the last visitor entry at 6:30 p.m. All visitors, including those who walk in, must exit by the posted closing time. Point Lobos south of Carmel is a gorgeous state park with hiking and lovely beaches, but parking inside the park is limited. Garrapata park is gorgeous, too. Point Sur lighthouse tour is fascinating, but only by reservation on Saturdays i think at 10 am.

Driving Directions to Point Lobos SNR The reserve is located on the central coast of California in Monterey County. The entrance is located three miles south of Carmel on Highway 1.
