15 lut 2021 · I did this because I have multiple IPs that uses the VPN and if I want to add another host later on I just have to add the IP in the address group, no need to modify all VPN configuration.You can also use this group in my NAT configuration. If you don't do the address group you can assign the IP directly in the firewall modify rule.
PIA is legit. I even use it inside of my travel router so I don't have to install it on all clients of my WIFI, it does the VPN from my router outbound. So, I know they improved because that was only available with NordVPN previously. I've have PIA maybe 5 years now, used it all around the world no complaints, no arrests.
12 lip 2023 · I struggled for months trying to figure out how to have a stable, consistent, and "set it and forget it" vpn connection with PIA via wireguard. One day, I asked myself "can I simply route all my traffic through the interface created by the PIA desktop application?" I already had IPtable rules in place for OpenVPN protocol (tun0 as the interface).
5 paź 2022 · Advanced > Network interface - In order to bind QB to the VPN, this needs to be selected as the network interface used by the VPN. For Windows 10, I went to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings. When using PIA VPN “OpenVPN” setting, for me it was default “Local Area Connection”.

In the whitelist, you need to choose to ALLOW AN APPLICATION to access the Internet, that being pia-service.exe to stop the nagging by Malwarebytes. That worked for me.
27 wrz 2021 · Open Synology DSM: Open "Control Panel". Open "Network". Select "Network Interface". Create "VPN Profile". Select "OpenVPN (via importing .ovpn file)". Give the "Profile" a name. Input your user name and password from your PIA account. Import the .ovpn file by browsing to the folder you saved your custom configs to.
28 maj 2024 · I think the fact that PIA it's HQ is in the USA versus Switzerland (Proton) is even a minus for PIA. In this case, I would say they're pretty much on par. Both returned good download speed (NordVPN was registering 85mbps, PIA was registering around 80mbps consistently) and good upload speed (around 8mbps for both). Cost: Private internet access is more expensive, costing $29.99USD per year. This is the only deal they offer.
