3 sie 2018 · Though a Pertronix Ignitor or other points replacement module itself is not affected much by distributor shaft wobble or endplay, the ignition and advance curve can still be sloppy and erratic, vacuum advance diaphragm shot, breaker plate sticky, etc.
5 lut 2018 · Try cranking it with the distributor cap off and see if the rotor is spinning. Maybe the distributor is wrong for the engine and is not engaging the gear on the cam.
22 sie 2020 · I have the original style Pertronix Flame Thrower distributor and their 1.5 ohm coil. There is no spark to the plugs; the timing light won't blink and there's no spark when pulling a wire and holding it near ground.
7 wrz 2020 · Is there any way I could test the Pertronix Distributor for intermittent failure? It appears dead now, but of course I could measure it (as far as you can, only two leads). Anyone else had these problems?
11 cze 2009 · Just installed a new Pertronix Ignitor in an original, stock ’66 289 distributor and can’t overcome a misfire problem related to the magnetic sleeve. The air gap between the sleeve & module is set with the supplied gauge (0.030”).
