Under Singapore’s laws, arriving travellers are required to declare and pay the duty and Goods and Services Tax (GST) to bring in dutiable and taxable goods exceeding their duty-free concession and GST relief. This is applicable whether the goods were purchased overseas or in Singapore.
Travellers with purchases that have exceeded their personal duty free concession or GST relief can use Customs@SG web application to make an advance declaration and pay the duty and/or GST without having to visit the Customs Tax Payment Office at the checkpoint when they arrive in Singapore.
You should submit your request to pay your tax by instalments via our digital service, at https://go.gov.sg/iras-applypaymentplan. The submission only takes 5 minutes to complete and you will be notified of the outcome immediately or be informed to submit the additional supporting documents required for us to review your request. 3.
Customers can pay via Amex, MasterCard, Visa, NETS and Cash via the SingPost mobile app, SAM kiosks or at any post offices. Please refer to SingPost’s website for more information on the payment modes.
You have to make full payment of outstanding tax at myTax Portal (Select "Account" > "Pay Taxes") or re-activate the GIRO arrangement (Select "Account" > "Apply/ Manage GIRO Plan") to avoid penalties.
