For some weird reason, the installer will literally not work if it's the online version, but it works fine if I install the offline version. I've been searching online for quite sometime, but I only found a really outdated version of the offline version.

23 mar 2021 · So basically, I've been trying to download some stuff on Opera GX but honestly, it's really slow. I'm using speedtest and the results say my internets at 60MB download, 75MB upload. When trying to download something, Opera says it's 70 KBPS. Now as you can tell that's obviously a huge difference, and I don't have any VPN or anything on.

16 wrz 2021 · I am trying to download opera gx on my laptop but it is not working. I have a lot of storage space and good wifi connections. It has been a few days and it still hasn't download. Is there a way to stop the download or speed it up, if so, thanks in advance. @kingslayer999 Try downloading the offline installer.
1 gru 2023 · Thanks for letting me know. I'm using Waterfox and it seems to be a nice fast browser that still supports earlier versions of MacOS. 1. Website says Opera runs on MacOS 10.13 but installer won't run. Please advise.
8 mar 2022 · @leocg If you go to a page like Opera's own download page, the download starts automatically. Though by default you should get a Save dialog, but there is a setting which would hide that dialog. On the one hand, no real need to worry - Opera will not automatically open a download. If you didn't really want it you can just delete it.
