The Hurst/Olds Club of America was formed September 4, 1983 by a group of 16 enthusiastic people dedicated to the pleasure and preservation of the Hurst/Olds automobile. An organizational meeting was held on that date in Lansing, Michigan at the R. E. Olds Museum.

The National Antique Oldsmobile Club is a non-profit corporation that was founded in 1981. The NAOC is devoted to encouraging the preservation, restoration and public display of the products of the former Oldsmobile Division of General Motors built from 1897 through 1989.
