15 sie 2020 · he is on about the octosniff tool that is advertised on the xresolver site, it basically shows all ip addresses when you are in a p2p game or an xbox live party, then morons use it to ddos people offline for kicks. the problem is that Microsoft cannot see this happening on the network as it does not connect to live as it intercepts the traffic.
15 paź 2020 · Octosniff is/has been ruining gaming on xbox. If you are in a xbox party that allows octosniff.net to pull your ip address. Believe me when i say that i have been ddosed more times this past year than ever before because all they have to do is pay a website each month then just type in any gamertag and if that gamertag is in a party they have your ip address.
They also tell you that once you have been blacklisted, it's not a permanent solution as people can just resolve you again. They are also asking for payment in order to process said blacklisting, scamming users into buying the VPN and Blacklist while malicious users also purchase all 3 (OctoSniff, OctoVPN and xResolver Blacklist).

4 maj 2020 · I recently found a piece of software that from what their site says is miles ahead of the competition. This software in question is called "Octosniff" now after reading it's description it sounded pretty cool. Since I had only used Wireshark before. I don't really hack but I did like to mess around for with Wireshark from time to time.

14 gru 2020 · Right I'm aware of all that. The issue is that once your ip is on xresolver, anybody with DOS software can look it up and boot you. It removes the necessity of them inviting you to your party to get your info, so a lot more people, even those that don't pay the octosniff monthly fee can still dos you.

21 lis 2020 · And while Octosniff is a packet sniffing tool with a nice shell designed for gamers in mind, packet sniffers are designed to be used for non malicious reasons (they are primarily a network troubleshooting tool) and are not illegal to own. Even looking Octosniff's site, they are careful not to advertise that you can use it for malicious intent.
