Oakland Mall, a cornerstone in the retail landscape of Troy, Michigan, embarked on its journey in 1968. Developed by the Kogan Companies, a name synonymous with commercial real estate innovation, the mall emerged as a modern shopping haven in the late 60s.
Oakland mall has changed a lot over the last 10 years. Only Macy remains and most of the resturants are also gone. The Somerset Collection and Great Lake Crossings haev taken over.
What this mall does need (and send to work in successful malls are a few coffee shops (the Starbucks in Macy's is about all that's there), a rework of the lame food court, and of course, more filled stores.
