Our NMR Spectroscopy Services accelerate the understanding of complex mixtures, systems biochemistry, drug interactions, and materials research, thereby contributing to the health and well-being of Canadians and strengthening the natural resource development sectors.
The Chemistry Centre Magnetic Resonance (C 2 MR) Facility is the University of Alberta’s Core NMR Facility equipped with twelve state-of-the-art NMR spectrometers, ranging from 300 to 800 MHz (7.05 to 18.8 T).
NMR Facility is well equipped with both solids and liquids instruments from 200 to 600 MHz. We have automated instruments for routine use and instruments for users to run their own specialized NMR experiments.
The High field NMR Regional Centre was founded by the Department of Chemistry of the Université de Montréal. Its purpose is to provide access to high field NMR equipments for academic, governmental and industrial researchers, mostly from Quebec.
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) laboratories The liquid state laboratory in Chemistry 2, room 170, houses all of the test equipment and tools necessary to design, construct, troubleshoot and repair RF instruments.
Brock Department of Chemistry has three Bruker NMR spectrometers 300Mhz ,400Mhz and 600Mhz. All spectrometers can perform 1D and 2D RT and VT experiements with broadband multinuclear probes.
We are using 5 mm NMR tubes for all our spectrometers. High precision 5 mm NMR tubes should be used for AV600 cryoprobe and for high quality spectrum on AV400inv/dir. The “standard” NMR tubes had to be at least 15 cm long. The J-Young NMR tubes had to be at least 14 cm long before the valve.
