The new ATF Form 4473 - Firearms Transaction Record (August 2023 revision) is now available. Starting immediately the ATF Distribution Center will cease providing the current form and only mail the new form. The August 2023 revised form will be mandatory February 1, 2024.

Form 4473 contains the purchaser’s name, address, date of birth, government-issued photo ID, National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) background check transaction number, and a short affidavit stating that the purchaser is eligible to purchase firearms under federal law.

19 paź 2020 · The paper version of the 4473 is available now through the ATF’s distribution center, and many of the e4473 software providers are in the mist of rolling out the new form digitally as well. The newest version of the 4473 can be downloaded here .
A: ATF regulations require that, for imported firearms, both the foreign manufacturer and U.S. importer must be recorded on Form 4473 (as well as in the acquisition and disposition record). Here are some examples: Springfield XD pistols are manufactured by HS Produkt and their importer is Springfield. HS Produkt is engraved on the top of the slide.
