  2. All individuals filing for unemployment benefits are required to conduct a weekly work search in order to be eligible. This includes contacting hiring employers and completing other activities that will assist you in your efforts to find new employment.

  3. Each time you become unemployed or have your hours of work significantly reduced, you must file a new claim or reopen an existing claim. This can be done online or by visiting the nearest NH Employment Security office to file your claim on a computer in one of our Resource Centers.

  4. The Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits provide temporary financial assistance to unemployed workers who have lost their job through no fault of their own, while they look for work or during a temporary company shut down.
