14 lut 2022 · Monkey Quest Reborn was an ambitious non-profit fan-led project to keep those monkeys swinging. It had a pretty solid run until a corporate crackdown in 2021. Nickelodeon’s owner, ViacomCBS sent a cease and desist letter demanding that Monkey Quest Reborn essentially become Monkey Quest Rekilled.
Monkey Quest was a fantasy MMO game that ran from 2011 to 2014, where players explored the land of Ook and cured the Monkey King. The game was shut down due to a shifting focus, and a community-driven recreation project called Monkey Quest Reborn was also closed by Nickelodeon.
