The base GReddy kit was designed to add some oomph to the stock 1.6L Mazda Miata so we wouldn't be outrun by minivans. =) It came with all the parts necessary to run 4.5psi of boost. It was put together as a low boost kit built around the Mitsubishi TD04H-15G turbo.

Engine management with the stock kit involves simply retarding the timing to 6 deg, and adding an additional fuel pressure regulator. (Search for "Bipes" or "E Manage" for additional mods). At stock boost levels the 1.6 engine takes to FI like a duck to water, and is very reliable.

Hey all, Recently picked a 91 turbo miata 1.6 for a super good price. It has the greddy turbo kit, but what’s weird is it never came with an intercooler for the kit. -Should I add one?
