Of course, we all know the age-old Superman lore. Baby Kal-El is discovered by Jonathan and Martha Kent. They take him in as their own and cope with his mysterious abilities as he develops into a man in small Midwestern town of Smallville. They don’t actually show this. There’s no need for it.
Man of Steel Prequel, a comic book starring Kara Zor-El, was released shortly before the release of the film, and it explained how the Kryptonian spacecraft landed on Earth. A follow up Crossover film with Batman, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, was released in 2016.
