4 cze 2021 · Luxatio Erecta is the specific term for inferior dislocation of the glenohumeral joint trapped underneath the coracoid and glenoid, very commonly associated with neurovascular injury. Diagnosis is made clinically with the presence of the shoulder in a fixed, abducted position and confirmed with radiographs of the shoulder.
26 gru 2022 · Luxatio erecta (inferior shoulder dislocation) is a rare entity, infrequent, but with a good prognosis. There are two mechanisms for this injury to occur, by an indirect force, which is the most frequent, and by a direct force.
5 paź 2016 · Luxatio Erecta: Humeral head displaced inferior to glenoid and arm/humerus fixed above head/superiorly
2 wrz 2022 · Luxatio erecta of the humerus (LEH) is said to be an uncommon lesion, considered to represent less than 1% of all anterior glenohumeral dislocations and the term is used synonymously with “inferior dislocation” (ID).
Also known as "Luxatio Erecta" due to the affected arm being held 'erect', in a fully-abducted position; About 0.5% of shoulder dislocations; Typically caused by hyperabduction Levers the humeral neck against the acromion; Rarely caused by high-energy force applied to shoulder from above
8 sie 2023 · Inferior dislocations (also known as luxatio erecta) are the most uncommon type (less than 1%). Usually caused by hyperabduction or with axial loading on the abducted arm. On exam, the arm is held above and behind the head and patient is unable to adduct arm.
Luxatio erecta, or inferior glenohumeral dislocation, is a rare shoulder dislocation usually caused by a hyperabduction injury to the arm. We have reviewed the literature consisting of 80 cases of luxatio erecta and also discuss six additional cases that we have treated.
