I think your thinking in regards to gear 5's move set is pretty limited. The whole appeal of gear 5 is that Luffy has complete freedom now, he has the most riduculous power in the world. Oni Luffy medal + Current Event Luffy medal + Gear 5 medal. Since he stacks DEF, I believe DEF > HP > ATK are his stat order. EDIT: (Realized Red Roc isn't as good as the current event one for defenders!) Red Roc is still good if you wanna embrace more of a hybrid-class playstyle, but I prefer and use the current event one for more tankiness!
That the Gear 5 animation style is jarring or inappropriate compared to the rest of Wano There were too many flashbacks, not enough happened, etc. Point 1 I think is most easily addressed. As I see it the animation style for Gear 5 is a visual representation of so many core aspects of Luffy and the idea of Joyboy. It's pure silliness.
The fun part is that it would have fit luffy, just as snake man did. But people wanna cope because we got diferent, but if gear 5 nika never existed you wouldnt be able to compare honestly and any other gear 5 as snake man would have made people lose their shit (specially if it was some clever shit as boundman was, with luffy actually using his brain)

18 kwi 2023 · How fast is Gear 5? In terms of strength and speed, Oda set a pretty clear hierarchy with Gears 2-4. But Gear 5 is different. Not in terms of strength, Gear 5 is clearly stronger than Gear 4 when fighting Kaido. The Elders even outright say that Awakening the Human Human Fruit, Model Nika increases physical strength. But speed is another question.
11 lis 2021 · Summary and Highlights of this build. The Luffy build we will be creating today is a multiclass of Hexblade Warlock for 17 levels and Battlemaster Fighter for 3 levels. The focus of this build is recreating Luffy’s punches with the combination of Eldritch Blast for long range attacks and Pact Weapon for closer enemies.
