Lipan Apache are a band of Apache, a Southern Athabaskan Indigenous people, who have lived in the Southwest and Southern Plains for centuries. At the time of European and African contact, they lived in New Mexico , Colorado , Oklahoma , Texas , [ 5 ] and northern Mexico .

Present-day Lipan live mostly throughout the U.S. Southwest, in Texas, New Mexico, and the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation in Arizona, as well as with the Mescalero tribe on the Mescalero Reservation in New Mexico

30 paź 2021 · Lipan Apache. The Lipan ranged across the Southern Plains from southern Kansas to northwest Texas. Lipan were among the first of the Plains Indians to obtain horses. This permitted them to dominate the southern plains and the southern bison range.
