7 lut 2021 · In the USA, the 2007 model year 450 and 525 were the first to be truly 50 state street legal. Prior to that they were not street legal but had open MSO's. So it isn't uncommon to find earlier plated models like my 05 EXC 525.

The models are the European road legal 400 EXC and 450 EXC, the US 450 (Close Ratio) XC and 450 (Wide Ratio) XC-W. The European EXC versions have a small headlight, speedometer, tail-light and somewhat softer linkless (PDS) rear suspension. The US EXC is 50-states street legal.

2 sty 2006 · I'm about to pull the trigger on an '04 450 EXC. Here in Colorado, the only thing it lacks to make it street legal is a brake light. I've been combing the internet for ways to do this, but all I can seem to come up with is "dual sport kits" that start at $400.
Just a few short years ago it was unheard of to purchase one of the best off-road bikes that was also street legal. The KTM 450EXC is the same machine with a headlight, taillight and blinkers as the machine that won our off-road shootout, the KTM 450XC-W.
