12 sty 2004 · I even upgraded the scope to a Weaver V10 ($159). I got all these items at the Gun Show yesterday. The dummy suppresser (key word is dummy as in fake) was for a heavy barrel 30 call gun. I increased the ID until it is a tight press fit onto my SU barrel.
5 lip 2016 · If you are familiar with the AK forend, which is what this is, you may recall that it only reaches up around the barrel, but not around the gas tube. The Zhukov kit includes an AK upper guard for the gas tube, but I found no good way to attach it and discarded it for the SU-16 application.
like a lot of Kel-Tec guns its cool concept (its like 4 lbs out of the box), its executed well enough, but there's always a laundry list of small mods that you need to do to improve the usability of the gun. If you want a project gun, and don't mind some DIY the SU-16's action is reliable and different from the AR-15s. Its basically an AK.
7 wrz 2019 · I'm a little late to the Su 16 game, just picked one up and I hate the bipod and compact forend. That's good to know because I as well am pretty limited in my ability to customize, drill, Dremel, etc. parts to fit correctly.
20 paź 2005 · I would LOVE to see an SU-16 in 7.62x39! Many people have chosen the SU-16 over the Ruger Mini-14 for price, performance and availability of magazines. If Kel Tec sees a 7.62x39 by CoreJob and decides to make a Mini-30 killer (that accepts AK mags, perhaps?), I'd be first in line for a pre-order!!
