I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration. Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn, and not get found out; if anybody knows of it, it will not count. I will do at least two things I don’t want to do —just for exercise.
JUST FOR TODAY, through NA, I will try to get a better perspective on my life. JUST FOR TODAY I will be unafraid. My thoughts will be on my new associations, people who are not using and who have found a new way of life. So long as I follow that way, I have nothing to fear.
And just as the steps work in our lives every day--if we allow them--our understanding of the truth may change each day as we grow. Just for Today: I will open my eyes and my heart to changes brought about by the steps. With an open mind, I can understand the truth in my life today.
