Specs datasheet with technical data and performance data plus an analysis of the direct market competition of Honda V65 Magna (VF1100C) in 1986 the model with cruiser body and 1099 cm3 / 67.1 cui engine size, 86.5 kW / 118 PS / 116 hp of power, 6-speed manual powertrain offered since late-year 1985.
In spite of this, the V65 Magna appeared from 1986 to 1989 in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest production motorcycle with a "design speed" of 278 to 283 km/h (173 to 176 mph). [15] [16] During this period the production motorcycle with the fastest tested speed was the 151–158 miles per hour (243–254 km/h) Kawasaki GPZ900R.

6 cze 2024 · VF1100 Magna zeszła ze sceny w 1986 roku, ale zanim to nastąpiło, Honda delikatnie ją dłubnęła. W 1984 zmodernizowany silnik generował 5 KM więcej dzięki nowemu wydechowi, dolotowi i wałkom rozrządu.
The V65’s majorly oversquare engine, with a 79.5mm bore and 55.3mm stroke, would cheerfully rev to 10 grand, with maximum rear-wheel power of 105 horses coming on at 9,500, redline at 10,000. A lot could go wrong with 16 valves popping up and down 10,000 times a minute, but Honda’s engineers made sure nothing untoward would happen.
The V65 benefits from Honda's extremely compact Vee engine design; at 17.4 inches, the 1100's engine is barely an inch wider than the narrow 750 V four. The Magna’s 90 degree Vee angle sets the two front cylinders low and nearly horizontal, while the rear cylinders stand almost vertical.
