we hike everywhere! Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Westchester and Upstate, N.Y. Based on Long Island, NY, the Nassau Hiking and Outdoor Club, Inc. (NHOC) is an organization of over 400 members from every walk of life, who share a common appreciation of the outdoors.
We are dedicated to protecting open space and our scenic Greenbelt trails for all to enjoy. We lead over 200 FREE GUIDED HIKES each year; and have donated a total of over 500,000 volunteer hours to Long Island’s parks and trails.
Whether you’re looking to have fun with (new) friends, be healthier, or just relax in the outdoors, this group is for you! Easy-going hikes and all are welcome. This group was created for those of us on the south shore who find other hiking groups too far to travel to frequently. Check out.
