EPISODE 1 • Pilot - “The Engagement”. The series opens with Sophia, Dorothy’s mother, moving in with Dorothy, Blanche and Rose. Sophia had been staying at a retirement home, Shady Pines, but a fire broke out and it burned down. Meanwhile, Blanche’s latest boyfriend, Harry, proposes marriage.
