15 gru 2020 · In VS code, I am signed in with a github account in which I have no longer my access. So I need to completely unlink the github account from vs code. How can I do that? I am using ubuntu.
Generally, Visual Studio Code uses the GitHub credentials from the system's credential manager. It doesn't store it anywhere in the settings. As question says, Changing the Git user inside Visual Studio Code , is not inside rather outside .

I was connected to GitHub and now I wanted to switch to Azure DevOps and VS Code was asking me for authentification for any action. Solution is: Open Credential Manager -> Windows Credentials. Remove credential that starts with " git: ". Open the project in VS Code and click Synchronize changes.
14 sie 2023 · In VS Code, after I do a pull request and delete the branch on GitHub, that branch still shows up in Visual Studio Code. If I select the branch, it gives an Error, as expected. How do I remove these now-deleted branches from VS Code.
12 mar 2017 · But by the time you connect Git within Visual Studio Code, that login details are remembered forever apparently. Can't "unlink" and everything I do, every file is potentially committable to the original git repository I decided to connect for the first time.

In Visual Studio Code I am looking at the branch icon bottom left to see which branch I'm working in. It says I'm working in test, so I make changes to file1, commit and synchronise the changes. I now want to work on the master branch, so I go bottom left, switch to master, but my changes from the test branch are still displayed in the editor.
20 gru 2021 · I've tried deleting the .git folder, signed out of my github account from visual studio, uncheck the git : Github Authentification in the settings, pasting the "git.enabled": false into the settings.json, deleting the Personal Access Token in github (I didn't have one either). None of what I mencioned above worked and don't know what else to try.

In the vs code settings there is an option called github enterprise: Uri. I put there the url of my github organization "github.organizationname.com" but I don't know what else I need ...
