Gifford Farm, a department of Educational Service Unit #3 has been serving students in the greater Omaha area for over 40 years with outdoor education about farming, nature, science, history, teamwork, and much more.
As a public institution that operates year-round and serves all of the school districts within ESU #3 as well as organizations within the Omaha Metro area, our mission is to offer rich, comprehensive education that serves the students and families on and off the farm for events and programming.
Open to the Public Gifford Farm is Open to the Public every Friday from May to August 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm. Admission $6 each ages 2 and older. Cash or Check only.Join us for a relaxing morning at the farm. Visit the animals, explore the Outdoor Nature Classroom, and take a hayride into the forest. Don't forget to bring your lunch or snack and enjoy a picnic!
Gifford Farm, offering agricultural curriculum and outdoor education to K-12 students, is located in Bellevue along the Missouri River and is surrounded by 1200 acres of riverfront and woodlands belonging to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Bring your class, Scout group, daycare, church group or a group of family and friends to learn new things and have some good old fashioned fun down on the farm! Available April - October. Ages – preschool – 2nd grade. 1 hour and 1 ½ hour programs. Picnic area is available for snacks and lunch.
The certified Nature Explore Classroom at the Gifford Farm Education Center was the first to be constructed in the Omaha metro area and the second in Nebraska.
