The Gibson ES-125 is an archtop, hollow body electric guitar model that was produced by the Gibson Guitar Corporation. Introduced in 1941 as the successor to the ES-100, the ES-125 was an entry-level archtop electric guitar. It had one P-90 single-coil pickup in the neck position, a single volume control and a single tone control.
Model: ES-125TC. Available: 1960-1970. Total production: 5236. Pickups: 1 dog-ear P90. Scale: 24 3/4" Body: Hollow body. Maple top, back and sides. 16 1/4" wide, 20 1/4" long, 1 3/4" thin. Neck: One-piece mahogany, changing to a three-piece laminate towards the end of the 1960s. Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. 20 frets.
The ES-125 evolved out of the ES-100 in 1941 and was produced until 1942. Upon its reintroduction in 1946, the ES-125 changed in a number of ways including a wider body, a new P-90 pickup, and trapezoid inlays. The ES-125 was updated again in 1950 with an adjustable P-90 pickup and dot inlays.
1946 ES-125 specs: 16 1/4" wide, approximately 3.5" thick body, one non-adjustable P-90 pickup with "dog ears", pickup in neck position, tortoise grain pickguard, trapeze tailpiece with raised diamonds, single bound top and back, pearloid traezoid fingerboard inlays, silkscreen logo, sunburst finish.

Favored by musicians like Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, George Thorogood, and BB King, this guitar kept things simple.
The ES-125 TC is a single Florentine cutaway version of the thinline ES-125 T. This model had a single P-90 pickup. A two pickup version (the ES-125 TDC) was also available.
