Only information on registered sex offenders allowed to be disclosed under California law appears on this website. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure, so they are not included on this site.
Megan's Law is named after seven-year-old Megan Kanka, a New Jersey girl who was raped and killed by a known registered sex offender who had moved across the street from the family without their knowledge.
