22 lut 2021 · I think that is one of the main uses for the 12 volt outlet in the cargo area is the Tire Mobility Kit that Ford now supplies with many of their cars. My 2016 Focus had the same Tire Mobility Kit and Ford also started installing 12 volt outlets in the rear hatch of the Focus right around that time.

The 110–volt AC power point outlet is used for powering electrical devices that require up to 150 watts. Exceeding the 150–watt limit will cause the power point to cut off the power temporarily to provide overload protection.
The power outlet temporarily turns off power when in fault mode if the device exceeds the 150 watt limit. Unplug your device and switch the ignition off. Switch the ignition back on, but do not plug your device back in.
