I was thinking about adding the two extra springs to my trem because I wanted a more solid feel (like an acoustic) but didn't want to go up to 11's again. I never use the tremelo on the SRV strat but I do bend quite a bit and wanted the strings to have a tighter feel without hurting my hands.
