20 wrz 2022 · Last year, we specified terms for a variable cash rent agreement (farmdoc daily, August 10, 2021). Variable cash rents are one form of farmland leasing that has the rent vary based on crop revenue. We provide an update on terms of a variable cash lease for 2023 conditions.
10 sie 2021 · The variable cash rent at 32% of corn crop revenue generated lower rents from 2014 through 2020. As shown above, the variable rent likely will be above the average cash rent in 2021. Overall, the variable cash rent is more reactive to commodity price and yields than fixed cash rents.
13 wrz 2022 · Results from the Illinois Society suggest rising cash rents in 2023, though at lower rates than occurred in 2022. The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) reported the average cash rent for Illinois in 2022 at $243 per acre, up by $16 per acre from the 2021 level of $227 per acre (see Figure 1).

Illinois Cash Farm Lease. To use this lease form: Complete two identical copies – one for the Lessor (Landowner) and one for the Lessee (Tenant). Cross out any provisions that are not to become a part of the contract and add any additional provisions that are desired.
