ECMWF provides a range of graphical products for tropical cyclone (tropical depressions, tropical storms, hurricanes and typhoons) forecasts.
The mesoscale hurricane models HAFS, HWRF, and GFDL are run on tropical disturbances and storms. Climate models like the CFSv2, CanSIPS, and NMME provide monthly to seasonal forecasts. Products include map displays, model-derived soundings, and vertical cross sections.
ECMWF’s operational forecasts aim to show how the weather is most likely to evolve. To do this, the Centre produces an ensemble of predictions. Individually they are full descriptions of the evolution of the weather. Collectively they indicate the likelihood of a range of future weather scenarios.
