15 sie 2024 · I had the same issue, pal. I opened diskpart and selected the Pen Drive I was using and then I ran the “clean” command. I did NOT initialize with GPT or MBR or formatted it(you have to initialize to format and do anything on the drive though) and then re-ran Etcher with Admin privileges and now my Pen Drive is happily formatted with Linux Mint.
3 wrz 2020 · Installed a fresh Windows 10 Pro, and the only way around this issue is to start cmd as administrator and then call etcher from there. Running as administrator has no effect…. 2 kwi 2019 · balenaEtcher. Hi. I’m using Etcher 1.5.19. I’m able to select my image and the drive, but when I press “Flash”, the button changes to “Starting” and does nothing else. My spidey sense tells me it might be waiting for admin permissions, but they are never requested.

21 sty 2023 · you download and install etcher, no install needed if it is the portable version. you launch etcher. you click the Flash from file and select the tails img you downloaded at the first step. you click the second button in ether Select target and you select a pendrive/sdcard/ssd where you want to flash Tails.
