Rangers are a lightly armored offensive class which focuses more on delivering damage than tanking. In terms of combat skills they can use all types of weapons and get dual wield, double attack, and kick. They also get a number of defensive skills including dodge, parry, riposte and disarm.
Our goal as a Ranger will be to maximize DPS while still maintaining decent tanking stats. Some items that were BiS in Classic are still BiS (or close to it) in Ruins of Kunark. We will focus on: 1) Best in Slot Weapons. 2) 40% Haste, we’ll get this from our 1.0 Epic.
In this guide we have an option to sacrifice 10 Attack in our Feet, which will allow us to pick up +1-20% Detrimental Mana Preservation in that slot. Ranger Bow Damage also picks up a lot in Shadows of Luclin due to AA so we’ll want a good bow and quiver. Ranger Goals: 1) Best in Slot Weapons.
