21 wrz 2019 · Just applied online, to renew my Photocard licence (you know, the one that was supposed to be free to renew for life :mad: ), and it says "Please cut your old driving licence in two and return it to: DVLA, Swansea SA99 1ZW ". Am I supposed to do this immediately, or when my new one arrives?
19 cze 2023 · Yes, I know it's not what they say. But you don't necessarily have to do things just because the DVLA say so on their website. Is there any legal obligation to return it? And even if there is, they're obviously not monitoring it, given nobody here (including myself) has heard anything about a failure to return old licences.

23 kwi 2021 · Yet the DVLA posted my sons licence to him and it never arrives, after weeks of phone calls, emails & waiting on false promises. We found out it was posted to a totally different village 8 miles away and was never seen again. So what happened to that licence we will never know. DVLA are a disgrace and needs a good shake up from the top down.

You can also contact the DVLA through a webchat service or even write to them, but using the website’s online service is likely to be the quickest method.
20 wrz 2017 · Thank you, I was hoping they (DVLA) would just go away - they have a reputation of being incompetent. Just checked: The V5 has always been registered to the same address as the driving licence, It looks like the police sent the speeding ticket to the insurance address and it is the insurance address that the DVLA are investigating.
23 kwi 2023 · The DVLA can pull over all your data and make driving license for £14 online - only if the passport site has your tiny small digital signature scribble to put on the front of your photo card. But since Brexit new passports get sent to your house and you sign them with a biro.

They've done a good job, at relatively low cost, of putting in some more modern systems for user interfaces.
