To continue to stay viable for the community, Dunlap Memorial became licensed as a critical access hospital. Dunlap Memorial received approval to provide post-acute skilled nursing care. The hospital also became a clinical site for students at Aultman Hospital’s School of Radiology.
Aultman Orrville Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility that has been serving Orrville and the Wayne County community for 70 years. The hospital was originally named Dunlap Memorial after its original benefactor, George T. Dunlap.
Originally called Dunlap Memorial Hospital, the organization officially opened its doors on July 3, 1951, serving Orrville and the surrounding communities. Aultman Orrville Hospital commemorated the anniversary with a special logo, signage and advertising.
