The Manual of Focus is a tome in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. These tomes will respecialize the Warden-Commander or a companion when used, effectively allowing for manual re-leveling and stat re-distribution from level 1. To use the manual, access it from your radial menu, on the potions tab.
There is a built-in respec book from awakening and on. That mod is kind of mandatory, since some late joining companions are pre-built in a horrid manner. Dragon Age 2 has a maker's sigh (=respec) potion, but only if you buy/active the Black Emporium DLC.
I don't know of a good respec mod for Awakening. What you can do is use the in-game respec tome. Then use Console - Add Points to restore any attribute, skill, or talent points that were lost.
