Each defrag tool uses different rules on what files to select for defragging, and how to organize the re-written files. Yes, it is recommended to not defrag SSDs. Actually, some defrag tools are "smart" enough to refuse to defrag them. The reason is that SSD storage is fundamentally different: #1. there are no read/write heads to move #2.
4 lip 2018 · Run only defrag C: /H /U /V /X again and then copy & paste the before/after statistics here please, that should give some details as to what's happening. One thing off the top of my head that it could possibly be is large files that Windows' Drive Optimizer won't move, in which case there may be another solution.
1 lis 2011 · I am guessing that this may be a drive that has not been assigned a drive letter. First we can take a look in Disk management: Click start and right-click Computer. Choose manage. Click on Disk Management. Look for a disk that has no drive letter. If it is not present, then we can look in regedit: Click on Start. Choose run.

19 mar 2010 · I just tried it last night. The Post Defragmentation Report said "File fragments larger than 64MB are not included in the fragmentation statistics", so I don't know if it worked or not. 26 gru 2012 · If you have multiple "Defrag" records, choose the one with the date and time of interest. I was also hoping to see before and after graphs but I guess if the Disk Defragmenter window says 0% fragmented with a "last run" date and time, then that means it was successful, though I get no indication of how bad the problem was since the process ran to completion while I was away from the computer.

18 paź 2016 · 1. Run services (services.msc) 2. Highlight "Optimize Drives" and click on properties. 3. There is a drop box that allows you to chose Automatic, Manual, or Disable. I chose Disable and it hasn't come on since. When I want to run it, I'll just enable it and use Norton to run it. By the way, choosing Manual did not work.
