Due to Annie being immobile, Annie can't really follow you into the river or thin the wave (if you are zoning her) to prevent it from crashing.

But yeah, I feel Annie's true counters are Kassadin and Galio. Galio shoves roams and kills your team. If you try to follow or fight him he bursts you and your burst just tickles him.
9 maj 2015 · One of the main reasons Annie is good against ahri is because of point and click lockdown with Annie's charged stun q. In lane you mainly just want to poke ahri down with q and once she's around 50-60% HP, you can go for the kill with ult, q, w, ignite. Make sure that when you ult, you have your stun charged up so ahri can't ult or flash away. 6.
13 kwi 2022 · Kassadin is by far the best Annie counter. Vex and Ryze are both very Annie favored. Fizz is Annie favored, but Fizz is a noob stomper, so it makes sense as a silver player that you feel it’s a hard matchup - no offense. Fizz shouldn’t be able to play the game early in lane.
25 kwi 2022 · Overall I think it's still Annie favoured but not as hard as people, especially lower ELO, think. If Yasuo knows that your w isn't blocked by windwall for example, it becomes a lot harder. Playing Annie into Kassadin/Galio is some of the worst times I've had in my life, they specifically counter most of Annie's strengths and are 100% worth a dodge.
Annie is safer and easier and less punishable. Her flash ult will be useful regardless if you are 0/10 or 10/0. Vex will do more burst damage, but her q, e and r is easier to dodge and if you can’t 1 shot someone as vex, you are useless. In the end, it all depends on what you enjoy and what you are comfortable with.

Right now Annie is overturned so probably does fine against them, but these champs do counter Annie. It's like when Belveth was mega op, Rammus is a counter to her but if Belveth is too op she still beats Rammus. 8.
