It seems Generals, specifically, has an issue with DirectX that is caused by a malfunctioning dll in the game folder that was actually left there from testing. If you go into the game folder, and delete the file "dbghelp.dll" there, this problem should be resolved.

29 gru 2012 · I am trying to play Command & Conquer: Generals on a laptop with a native resolution of 1600x900 but the game doesn't appear to support any custom or widescreen resolutions. All of the resolutions in game appear to have an aspect ratio of 4:3, leaving large black bars down either side of the screen.
I was in the same boat a few weeks ago. These are the mods I've tried since then, in skirmish only: Zero Hour 1.06 Patch combined with Advanced AI mod - If you want as close to vanilla as possible, but with better balance and smarter AI.
I have been looking for a way to run Command and Conquer Generals and Generals Zero Hour on Windows 10 and I think I have finally found it. Not sure if it will work for the Origin version though. 25 sty 2023 · It is a good game but it is very different compared to Generals. The base building is more minimalist, the resources are tight and generated through capture points, units are expensive and few, matches can last hours, the game is much more micro-focused, and there’s a hard limit in army size. 1v1 in CoH is honestly kinda boring, but the big team battles are insane.

command and conquer generals/zero hour.....i keep getting message about direct x needs to be at least 8.1 or higher.....i have direct x 12 installed with a radeon 590 8gb video.....how can this be fixed ? win 10 pro. 64 gb ram. amd rx590 8gb
