Established in 1910, the City of Hemet Water & Wastewater Department currently obtains its supply from a groundwater source, four deep wells pumping from the Hemet and San Jacinto Groundwater Basin. The City also has an emergency connection with the Eastern Municipal Water District and Lake Hemet Municipal Water District when the demand arises.
