Lynx (stylized as LYNX) is a transit system serving the greater Orlando, Florida area. Operated by the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, it provides bus, curb-to-curb, and paratransit services in three counties: Orange, Seminole, and Osceola. Bus routes are referred to as Links.
Began doing business as LYNX in 1992, and changed official name to Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority in March 1994. Area Served Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties; an area of approximately 2,500 square miles with a resident population of more than 2.3 million people.
LYNX is Central Florida’s regional transit authority. Serving the same planning area as MetroPlan Orlando, the agencies coordinate on several issues, including planning, funding, and transportation disadvantaged needs. More information about regional bus service is available at the LYNX website.
Central Florida Regional Transit Authority or LYNX serves the Orlando area in the state of Florida. The previous service provider was Orlando Transit Company from 1932-1972. It was formed in May 1972 under the name Orange-Seminole-Osceola Transportation Authority, later changed to Tri-County Transit and changed again in 1994 to LYNX.
