The Café Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival, formerly the Budapest Autumn Festival (Hungarian: Budapesti Őszi Fesztivál, pronounced [ˈbudɒpɛʃti ˈøːsi ˈfɛstivaːl]) is an annual dance, jazz, theatre, poetry and fine arts festival founded in Budapest in 1992. The festival usually takes place in early October. [1]
This year the event will present, throughout its 17 days, more than 100 contemporary music, dance, opera, theatre, pop, world music and jazz productions, as well as visual art and fashion shows, at around 30 of the major cultural institutions and public spaces of the capital.
Every season has its own festival so visitors to the Hungarian capital always have plenty of cultural programs to choose from. The Budapest Autumn Festival (previously known as Café Budapest Contemporary Art Festival) kick off at the end of September and lasts through the first week of October.
