The clutch engages and spins the compressor. The gauges were showing equal on both the high and low sides. They were at 35 each, then I added a little r134a and they both said 40.
6 wrz 2016 · It made no difference in vent temp, and the gauges showed the same readings as before. High side is about 100, Low side is about 40. So it seems like the refrigerant is evaporating completely before it reaches the driver's side of the evaporator - due to the lack of sufficient pressure differential between High and Low sides.
I borrowed the gauge kit from AutoZone and got the following readings with the AC running and the compressor clutch engaged: low side pressure around 90psi, high side pressure around 150psi. Based on ambient temperature around 95F I think that high side pressure is a bit low. Pressures with the engine off were around 105 on both sides.
18 lip 2021 · The rear temp control is via a roof mounted blend door NOT a dedicated evaporator and heater core. @2000 rpm, doors open fan on high; low 37-40, high 147-150, using a Thermopen duct temp 63.8°on both sides, ambient 83°, humidity 80% and cloudy. Driving down the road @2000 rpm both sides temps hit upper 40°'s.
7 lip 2021 · Both low side and high side pressures are higher than normal. High side will approach 300 psi possibly more. The low side was maybe 60 perecent higher than it should be. 25 maj 2020 · The first one had pressures on each gauge the same (60/60). The Saab was yet another weird one as the gauges both showed low (about 10psi on each gauge) on hookup so I assumed that I should add refrigerant. With the engine running and system maxed out via the controls, I got a reading of 30 low/50 high. I was thinking that the high side gauge ...

4 lip 2018 · Pressures run higher on 134a conversions. Your current high side pressure is very conservative. We use a P:T ratio to describe condenser performance, with P being the high side pressure, and T being ambient temperature. It is not uncommon to see a P:T over 3:1 on a 134a conversion at full load.
