I want to use my own router on my AT&T fiber service. I have browsed Reddit and found several posts on this topic. Although there is a large overlap among the instructions of these various posts, they are not completely identical and some posts contain steps that are not mentioned in others.
At best, 2Wire/Pace routers support DMZ+ mode, while Motorola/Arris devices support IP Passthrough. AT&T allows residential and business customers to pay for static IP addresses, which they support on all AT&T approved equipment (including the 2Wire/Pace and Motorola routers).
18 paź 2013 · I have been having problems with my AT&T 2wire modem/router cutting out. It started suddenly a few days ago. I have an iMac and a Macbook hooked up to it. All of the sudden the internet will stop working, but the wireless icon on the computers says it's working.
